Solid aluminium sheet is a single alloy thickness, not a composite sandwich. It is specified when the work needs folding, welding, perforation or a face that must read as metal rather than a coated cassette. Alloy and temper decide whether the sheet will form without cracking and whether it will hold a fold on a coping or flashing.
Send the alloy if the specification names one. Common architectural requests sit in the 3000 and 5000 series; we do not substitute an alloy silently. Temper (H14, H32 and similar) belongs in the same line. If the drawing shows tight radii or brake-pressed returns, say so — that is a fabrication condition, not a decorative note.
Thickness is a commercial and a structural fact. A 1.5 mm flashing and a 3 mm panel are different mill items. Finish may be mill, painted or anodised; protective film, grain direction and sheet format should travel with the enquiry. Coil versus sheet, and whether cut-to-size is required, change packing and waste.
We source solid aluminium as a trading desk. We do not design the panel joint, calculate wind load, or run the folding shop. The quotation will identify the alloy, temper, thickness and finish being offered, and will flag any difference from the specification. Manufacturer data for that item is provided where it is available.

- Perforated or folded metalwork
Sourcing and documentation
Quoted by alloy, temper, thickness, finish and format. Documentation follows the item actually offered. Final suitability depends on the project specification, substrate, exposure and system design.
