Aluminium extrusions carry the subframe, the trim and often the edge that the panel sits against. A useful enquiry names the section — a die number, a catalogue profile, or a drawing — then the alloy and temper. 6063-T6 is a common architectural request; it is not assumed. If the bar is structural in the designer’s intent, say so, because that changes how we read the requirement.
Finish is a separate line: mill, powder-coated or anodised, with colour if coating is required. Anodising thickness, if specified, belongs in the same note. Cut length and whether bars may be supplied in mill lengths or must be cut to module should be explicit. Tolerance on length, straightness or wall thickness is included when the specification states it.
Project-specific dies take time and a quantity that justifies tooling. If the section is special, send the drawing and the expected metres. If it is a standard commercial profile, a clear dimensioned sketch is enough to start. We compare what is asked with what can be offered and we write the difference into the quotation.
Glass Architectural supplies profiles; it does not fabricate the curtain wall or approve the connection. Related sheet and fixings can be quoted in the same request when they belong to the same assembly. Manufacturer mill certificates or finish data are provided where they exist for the offered bars.

Sourcing and documentation
Sourced against section, alloy, temper, finish and length. Special dies are quoted only with a drawing and a stated quantity. Final suitability depends on the project specification, substrate, exposure and system design.
