Insulation and waterproofing are specified as a system even when the purchase is a board, a roll or a membrane. The enquiry should name the application (façade cavity, roof, foundation, wet area, acoustic split), the substrate, the system type if the specification names one, the thickness, any performance target already written (thermal, acoustic or watertightness), the area and the quantity unit.
We do not calculate U-values or design a roof build-up. If a performance number is in the specification, we use it as an enquiry field to identify what can be offered. If only a product family is named, we source against that family and state the item on the quotation.
Area in square metres, board size and whether overlaps or waste are included should be said once. Compatibility with adjacent sealants, membranes and metal is a design coordination issue; raise it in the email if the specification already flags it.
These materials often travel with composite panels and joint sealants. Send one requirement list. Manufacturer data sheets are provided where they exist for the offered item. Installation, testing and warranty of a completed waterproofing system are outside this trading scope.

Sourcing and documentation
Sourced by application, system type, thickness, area and the performance already written in the specification. Final suitability depends on the project specification, substrate, exposure and system design.
